Fusion Families

“Your program has brought many more blessings to my family than any other sport”

My son and my husband joined Tae Kwon Do about 4 years ago, and I followed them about a year later. Since then, my son (now 11) has gained high self-esteem, confidence and has become a respectful, polite young man. He is now a straight A student with extremely positive feedback from his teachers who praise his respect and manners.

As for my husband and I, we have gained another family in the people we have met through Taekwondo. It is not just a program to bow in and work out, it is a program that has brought many more blessings to my family than any other sport we have ever done!

“A wonderful workout that is easy, fun and exciting!”

Fusion Martial Arts has impacted our family in so many positive ways. We have met lots of new friends and in a wonderful, stress free way, it has sparked an increased level of personal drive that we did not know was missing.

In addition, the discipline has helped our son increase his respect for his teachers, fellow students and others. Finally, the training provides a wonderful workout that is easy, fun, even exciting to do!

“Tyler learned how to be disciplined and focused, which has helped him with his schoolwork”

When Tyler came to karate he had low self-confidence; he was a perfect target for bullies, and was always slouching over, looking at the ground, and always feeling nervous. Martial Arts training improved this greatly. Tyler is doing great at school, and has the courage to stand up for himself in a constructive manner.

Before starting at FUSION Martial Arts, Tyler also displayed disruptive behavior, acting out at home and school. Thanks to the Tiny Tiger Program, he has shown great improvement. Tyler was awarded the “Respect and Responsibility” award from his elementary school principal, and has learned to help out around the house with out being asked. Furthermore, his classes have helped Tyler learn how to be disciplined and focused, which has helped him with his schoolwork. Tyler is able to pay attention better in class and his grades have improved. In fact, his teacher said Tyler has become a great leader in class functions and a help in class.

As a parent, I have noticed the great change martial arts has made for Tyler. He is confident, happy, focused, and all around a better kid as well as a great role model for his younger siblings. I think Tyler has changed a great deal over the past six months and his FUSION classes have started him on the path to being a great young man. It has given him the confidence to not only help himself but others as well.

“Martial Arts has given Joshua a foundation of respect, responsibility and leadership.”

We chose Taekwondo to help Joshua have a connection to his birth country of Korea. We work to incorporate his native culture so he does not lose this portion of who he is.

A second reason for choosing martial arts is to provide Joshua with training for his body and mind. We want him to be a respectful, well rounded person. Martial arts has provided him with another foundation of respect, responsibility and leadership.
Finally, he has a really good time!

“Martial Arts training is having a big impact on the kind of person he is growing up to be.”

For our family, it's nice to see my 6 yr old, Luke, take to something that he really likes. It became obvious to us that we needed to work more as a family if Luke was going to succeed in Karate. And it has paid off! His form has really improved. I'm very impressed and proud of Luke’s drive, ambition and attitude.

Luke had a fantastic report card this last quarter. His teacher wrote, "Luke is a great role model for his classmates"! When I asked his teacher about this, she said that he takes care of the other students by taking them under his wing, he leads by example and he helps the other children when they struggle with their school work! We can see that martial arts training is having a big impact in the kind of person he is growing up to be.

It really does take a community to raise a child...Family, friends, school, church and activities such as Karate.

We are very happy to be a part of FUSION.

“He has definitely developed more confidence!”

I believe that my 11 year old son, Nurry, has changed in quite a few ways since he started Taekwondo at FUSION Martial Arts. He has definitely developed more confidence. Also, progressively I've noticed he has more respect for his "elders" (parents, rector, etc.) By this I mean, he says please and thank you much more frequently than he used to and he listens to what adults have to say without interrupting, and so on. Finally, it has just made him more physically fit. And as a bonus, he really enjoys Taekwondo and the instructors at FUSION!!

“Class is both challenging and interesting!”

I just decided to send you a thank you note regarding yesterday’s class. First thing Richard told me in the car when I picked him up was “It was a wonderful class today – challenging and interesting!”

We, as parents, truly appreciate Richard’s learning experience and challenge in your class and give you and the team of instructors you’ve established the full credit.

“Colin’s friends and neighbors have all noticed a change in him”

As I was talking to Ms. Smith about Colin and his training I mentioned to her how many people have commented on the new confidence that Colin has gained since he started talking classes at your school. Family members, friends and neighbors have all noticed a change in him; he stands taller and I can directly attribute that to his training. For a speech he had to give in English class he talked about what he does at Taekwondo. I just wanted you to know.

Here is a poem written by one of our junior black belts

By: Janelle B

Some people wonder what ATA means,
It might be three letters but it’s
More complicated than it seems.

It does mean American Taekwondo Association,
But as you read on, it will seem like a
Sensation.

Yes, you do a form, free sparring, and
Breaking boards,
But to me ATA means so much, much more.

You learn new and fun things, each
And every day,
ATA points you in the right way.

When you get your black-belt, you will be
So proud,
You will say “I’m a black-belt” a million times
Out loud,
And when you are a white belt, you are
Just a beginner,
You know you made the right choice, you’ll
Feel just like a winner.

I hope you do this in every which way,
Join Fusion Martial Arts, any time even today!
